The Nexion Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Nexion Foundation Scholarships, honoring academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in nursing and healthcare.
Gwen Rubbell Nursing Scholarship
This year marks the inaugural presentation of the Gwen Rubbell Nursing Scholarship, established to celebrate the legacy of Gwen Rubbell, whose decades of service inspired countless caregivers to lead with skill, heart, and compassion.
We are thrilled to congratulate Kaylyn Williamson, RN Supervisor at Delta Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, as the very first recipient of this award. Kaylyn was selected for exemplifying academic and clinical excellence, compassionate leadership, and a passion for resident-centered care.
Barbara Hair Excellence Through Education Scholarship
The Foundation also proudly recognized recipients of the Barbara Hair Excellence Through Education Scholarship, which provides educational support to Nexion Associates and children of Associates pursuing healthcare or elder care education at accredited colleges or vocational schools.
Since its creation, this scholarship has helped Associates and their families advance their careers while continuing to strengthen the culture of care across the Nexion family.

Since 2004, the Nexion Foundation has awarded more than $290,000 in scholarships, reinforcing our mission to support and inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders.
