Nexion Health affiliates offer medical, dental, and vision benefits to full and part-time employees working at least 30 hours per week
The medical plan offered by Nexion Health is designed to provide you and your dependents with comprehensive care. Nexion affiliates offer several different medical plans to meet the various economic and healthcare needs for our employees. These plans are administered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Prescription drug coverage is also available under the medical plan.
The employee paid dental plan offered by Nexion Healthaffiliates is available under the Always Care network.
The employee paid vision plan offered by Nexion Health affiliates is available through Superior Vision. Superior Vision covers one eye exam and lenses or contacts every calendar year.
Dependent Care FSA
The Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account is a pre-tax account that employees may set up for dependent care expenses, such as day care, summer camps and adult care. You can set aside up to $5000.
Health Care FSA
The Health Care Flexible Spending Account is a pre-tax account that employees may set up for out-of-pocket medical, dental and vision expenses that are incurred during the year.
Nexion Health affiliates offer employee-paid life insurance for employees and their spouses.
Nexion Health affiliates offer employee-paid basic accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance for employees.
Nexion Health affiliates offer employee-paid short-term disability. In the event of an accident or illness, an employee may elect a benefit equal to 60% of his or her weekly earnings up to a maximum of $1,500 per week.
Nexion Health affiliates offer employee-paid long-term disability coverage for employees. In the event of an accident or illness, an employee may elect a benefit equal to 60% of his or her monthly earnings up to a maximum of $6,000 per month.
Employees may elect to contribute pre-tax dollars up to the annual IRS maximum. Nexion Health Provides a discretionary match determined at the end of each calendar year. All employer contributions are subjected to the vesting schedule listed in the plan document.
Nexion Health affiliates provide vacation for full-time employees; accrual is based on hours worked. An employee does not lose unused vacation hours.
Nexion Health affiliates provide care for our residents 365 days a year. Employees will accrue holiday hours based on hours worked and may use them for the actual holiday or for a day in that same pay period.
Nexion Health affiliates allow 3 days of paid jury duty leave.
Up to three (3) days of paid leave are available to employees who suffer the loss of an immediate family member. One (1) day of paid leave is available to employees who suffer the loss of any other family member.
Family Medical Leave Act
Eligible employees are entitled to take up to 12 weeks of leave in a 12-month period for the birth of a baby, adoption, to care for one’s self, spouse, child, or parent who has a serious health condition as defined by the FMLA.

Nexion Health offers the Barbara Hair Scholarship Program, in which employees and their family members who are seeking industry-related degrees may apply for scholarship money.
Outside of this scholarship program, Nexion Health promotes professional development through external training opportunities as well as support of professional accreditations. These opportunities are developed as a collaborative effort between the managers and employees. The partnership begins with annual goal-setting and identifying opportunities for development.
