Nexion Health Utilizes PointClickCare for Electronic Medical Records
March 4, 2019 | Colorado, General, Texas
As we move into Spring, Nexion Health welcomes another big change, as we transition to PointClickCare (PCC), the leading cloud-based software vendor for the long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) and senior-living markets, in two of our 39 affiliated facilities. Green Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Texas and Cherry Creek Nursing Center in Colorado are thrilled to be our pilot facilities for using PCC for all electronic medical records.
Additionally, three affiliates in Mississippi – Cornerstone, Woodlands and Columbia Rehabilitation and Healthcare Centers, are upgrading their PCC experience by documenting point of care on iPads.
“By streamlining our electronic medical records and revenue cycle management processes into one centralized place with PointClickCare, decision making will be as easy as possible for our facility leadership and staff. The information our users will access through this software will provide a complete overview of the care provided to our residents from admission to discharge. This platform gives us the tools necessary to improve outcomes and adapt our care to the resident’s needs and preferences,” says Meera Riner, Chief Operating Officer.
All participating facilities made this exciting change March 1st. At the Nexion Health Corporate office, the Accounting and Central Billing Office was also trained in using PCC for revenue cycle management. Tom Turner, Director of Revenue Cycle Management says, “Our transition to PointClickCare is helping us become more consistent in our practices.“
