Nexion Health Foundation Announces 2017 Scholarship Recipients

The Nexion Health Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2017 Barbara Hair Excellence Through Education Program scholarship winners. Each year the Foundation awards several $1,500.00 scholarships to eligible Nexion associates, or children of associates, who attend an accredited college or vocational school, with a concentration related to the healthcare profession and/or elder care services.
They include: Victoria Yates, Joy Sowell, Kaitlyn Brown, Destinie Pansy, Jasmine Alexander, Kerri McCorkell, Phuong Bui, Kendra Scott, Verdisha Stoker, Mary Jomo, Kaitlin Johnston and Tia Deadmon-White.
The scholarship was named after the late, beloved Administrator, Barbara Hair, who contributed greatly to the success of Nexion Health and the long-term industry as a whole. Ms. Hair believed in the importance of continuing education and was a mentor to many Administrators-in-Training and facility associates.
The Barbara Hair Excellence Through Education Program is just one facet of the Nexion Health Foundation. Established in 2014, the Nexion Health Foundation makes financial contributions to eligible organizations for a variety of charitable purposes. In addition, the Foundation makes financial contributions that support educational, social, civic, and humanitarian organizations.
Since 2004 The Foundation has contributed approximately $487,000 for hardship needs, community clubs and organizations and scholarships.
