Our Team

At Truman Smith Children’s Care Center, we take great pride in the length of service of our staff members. Our Director of Nurses and our Respiratory Therapy Director both began their careers as Certified Nurses’ Aides and are examples of how our career progression functions. We have many staff members who have been with us for over 10 years and several respiratory therapists have been a part of our team for as long as 25 years!

As a team, we strive to improve our skills and education in order to provide the best care possible for our patients. Each year we dedicate one week as our “Trach Safety Week,” during which we incorporate additional training and fun activities that reinforce best practices and state-of-the-art measures related to tracheostomy care. We take pride in our Trach Safety Team and partner with the local Children’s Hospital to ensure a better continuum of care for our patients with specific respiratory needs.
