Our facility proudly offers a specialized respiratory care program. Led by an experienced staff that includes nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, speech language pathologists, dietitians and social workers – the team establishes a comprehensive treatment plan intended to restore the patient to the fullest cardiopulmonary functional potential.
For patients with a tracheostomy, our team is dedicated to the weaning process, the goal being to ultimately remove the artificial airway and return the normal act of breathing and eating back to the patient. For those who may be learning to live with a permanent or long-term tracheostomy, our team is committed to helping those patients learn their maximum potential and adjust their activities of daily life as related to cardiopulmonary conditions.
For those patients with other pulmonary conditions who are planning on returning home, we focus on providing the patient and their family the education and training necessary to ensure a safe return to the home environment. We strive to achieve the highest level of independence and overall health and well-being for all our patients before making the successful transition back into the home environment.
